CAMDEN, NJ--(Marketwire - May 18, 2010) -  Local company, RFID TagSource, today announced it has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and Rowan University as one of the Top 25 fastest-growing private companies in Southern New Jersey. The company's radio frequency identification technology products are used around the world for identifying and managing high value assets such as IT and healthcare equipment, trucks, shipping containers, and specialty manufacturing tooling.

RFID TagSource recognizes the many benefits and opportunities that exist for small businesses in South Jersey. The company is a member of the ACIN Center Business Incubator at the Camden Waterfront Technology Center. Founded in 2001 through the efforts of New Jersey Congressman Rob Andrews and local entrepreneurs, the ACIN Technology Program is tasked with fostering growth in private-sector companies that are developing new technologies and products to be used in military and commercial applications.

"RFID TagSource is a great example of a company that is helping South Jersey reverse the effects of our economic crisis," said Congressman Rob Andrews. "By creating quality jobs right here in Camden and expanding high tech capabilities for local manufacturers, RFID TagSource has demonstrated its commitment to South Jersey while benefiting from the strong businesses and assets our region has to offer. They are making things happen here and I applaud their success."

Company founder Kevin Donahue is a graduate of the School of Business at Rutgers University and started his career with companies such as RCA and the Campbell's Soup Company. "I have deep roots in the area," said Donahue. "To be included in the South Jersey 25 is a real honor. We ship our products around the world but it all starts here in South Jersey."

Since founding the company in 2006 RFID TagSource has acquired an impressive list of customers including the Boeing Company and Computer Sciences Corporation. "We listen intently to our customers and tailor our products to meet their specific needs," Donahue continued. "Combine great products with exceptional customer service and customers will reward you with their business. This provides the revenue required to grow our company and create jobs here in South Jersey."
