Rhapsody Hires Josh McDonald as National Marketing & Training Director

Industry Specialist Overseeing Canadian Marketing Initiatives


TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - August 17, 2015) - Rhapsody Property Management Services ("Rhapsody"), Canada's premier third party management firm, announced today that Josh McDonald was hired as the national marketing and training director to create a strategic marketing platform for the company's managed apartment communities and to implement training programs for all Rhapsody team members. McDonald brings 15 years of diverse sales and marketing experience and recognized accomplishments in the multifamily industry.

A division of Dallas-based Pinnacle, Rhapsody launched in May 2015 to focus on providing best-in-class property management services for purpose-built rental properties in Canada. McDonald will work in concert with Rob Martin, senior vice president, to build internal protocols and expand the business across the country.

McDonald came to Rhapsody from Holland Partner Group where he most recently oversaw marketing, brand development, and public relations efforts for over 22,000 apartment homes with a valuation exceeding $3 billion. In this role, he demonstrated a keen ability to build teams, infrastructure and innovative programs to promote the company. McDonald also worked in tandem with training professionals to write and disseminate curriculum to over 300 sales associates. During his tenure with the organization his value-add contributions were evident to clients, onsite teams and internal personnel.

A well-known industry panelist, McDonald currently serves on the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) Marketing and Brand Management Committee, the National Apartment Association (NAA) Marketing Committee and Zillow Rental Network Advisory Board. In 2014, he received the California Apartment Association (CAA) Signature Award - Marketing Department of the Year.
