Rhinoplasty Surgeon in Dallas Says Continued Education Helps Achieve 'Next-Level' Results

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2012) -  Dallas rhinoplasty specialist Dr. Spencer Cochran recently served as one of the Distinguished Guest Speakers at the University of Irvine Rhinoplasty Course at UC Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Cochran presented attendees with his approach to performing rhinoplasty in an effort to help promote the future of aesthetic surgery and improve the quality of rhinoplasty results achieved by surgeons nationwide. Having delivered several lectures, he says he is thankful for the opportunity to share his techniques and expertise with others and is eager to continue striving for the safest, most efficient procedures at his center for cosmetic surgery in Dallas.

Dr. Cochran has also been asked to speak at the annual rhinoplasty course presented by The Rhinoplasty Society and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) Annual Meeting in New York next year where he will also be leading a teaching course entitled "Improving Results in Rhinoplasty." Additionally, Dr. Cochran has been invited to lecture at "Advances in Rhinoplasty 2013" sponsored by the AAFPRS Foundation in Chicago. Both lectures will focus on the latest advancements in rhinoplasty and how to improve the results and efficiency of the procedure. A regular participant at meetings like the ASAPS symposium, Dr. Cochran says continued education is an enjoyable and beneficial duty of his role as a rhinoplasty surgeon.

"I enjoy attending conferences and lecturing on rhinoplasty for a couple reasons," says Dr. Cochran. "I enjoy meeting other physicians who are interested in rhinoplasty, and it allows me to stay current and up-to-date on the developments and techniques that are being performed in rhinoplasty. I also get to present some of the innovations we do here at the Gunter Center and teach physicians who are just starting out in rhinoplasty how to be better surgeons."

Because plastic surgery procedures such as primary or secondary rhinoplasty require extensive experience and training, Dr. Cochran says pursuit of continued education is an essential duty of qualified cosmetic surgeons. He says striving for the most effective treatments and the latest technology allows him to achieve better, safer results for his patients, a goal he adds is the cornerstone of his practice.

"Continued education is essential because it allows surgeons to learn fundamental concepts, to be familiar with the basic techniques, and then to be able to master those concepts, so they can take their results to the next level," he says. "The goal is to provide doctors with information that allows them to improve the way they do things. Anything that helps improve patient outcomes is beneficial, both in the short term for the patient and in the long term for the doctors and the procedures they are performing."

Dr. Cochran says he is excited to return to his practice from the recent course at the University of California, Irvine and looks forward to future teaching opportunities. He says regardless of whether patients are looking for a facial rejuvenation procedure or a rhinoplasty, they should be sure to only consult with those surgeons who have displayed a commitment to safety and efficacy through the pursuit of advanced training and continued education. By taking the time to extensively research their practice, Dr. Cochran says patients can ensure their results are performed with the utmost levels of quality and beauty.
