Ribbit Developers to "Spawn" New Voiceware Applications

Sold Out Event to Feature Adobe Evangelist and Demonstrate Ribbit SmartSwitch™ Open Platform

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - March 14, 2008) - Ribbit, Silicon Valley's First Phone Company, will kick-off its developer education series with The Ribbit Spring Spawn, on Sunday, March 16, 2008, with a sold-out crowd of new and experienced developers. The Spawn series will enable attendees to hone their development skills in Adobe FLEX, ActionScript and AIR, and create new widgets and rich internet applications on the Ribbit SmartSwitch™ open API (application programming interface) platform. Led by the Ribbit development team and featuring Adobe Flex expert Ted Patrick as a guest instructor, "Spawners" will also learn how to easily market and monetize their consumer and enterprise applications in the Ribbit Store.

The Ribbit SmartSwitch platform, built from a carrier-grade CLASS 5 softswitch, enables non-telephony developers to quickly and easily build new voiceware applications and rapidly integrate them into web sites, online communities and applications. The Spawn developer series was launched in response to the tremendous interest from the Ribbit and Adobe developer communities for interactive training of the breakthrough platform.

"Requests for hands-on education and training have been increasing since the Ribbit platform launched late last year, but we were surprised with how quickly the first Spawn sold out," said Charles Freedman, Director of Development Platform for Ribbit. "The Ribbit and Adobe communities are incredibly creative and have already developed many cutting-edge voiceware applications. We're excited to see the results of the convergence of these communities in such a collaborative environment."

Adobe Systems' Flex Evangelist, Ted Patrick, will also be on-site to provide an immersive development course for Adobe's rich internet application (RIA) tools. "Ted is the grandmaster of Flex," said Freedman. "This will be an incredible opportunity for experienced Flex and AIR Spawners, and for those who are just looking for an excuse to learn Flex and AIR to build Ribbit applications."

The Ribbit Spring Spawn is now filled to capacity and registration is closed. Spawn results and updates, including video segments, new applications and upcoming events, will be available shortly after the event at www.ribbit.com.
