AMD (NYSE:AMD) announced today that Rich Oehler, a 40-year industry

symmetric multi-processing and mission-critical systems design, has
joined AMD's Office of Strategy and Technology reporting to CTO Fred
Weber.

"It is a real honor to have Rich join the AMD team," said Weber. "His
unique depth of experience in enterprise computing enhances an already
immensely talented group focused on strengthening the performance,
reliability, availability and scalability features of our 64-bit
