Richard Marksberry Named Chief Financial Officer at iGov

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwire - April 16, 2008) - Richard Marksberry has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at iGov, reporting to Patrick Neven, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Marksberry will oversee the company's financial, accounting and internal support operations.

"Rich has vast experience in all aspects of CFO services," said Neven. "His 27 years of broad industry experience will be a great asset to iGov as we re-align our business."

During his career, Marksberry has provided guidance and direction to companies and clients in various industries and vertical markets. As CFO and Controller for Siemens Government Services Inc., he drove the implementation of the Deltek accounting system and established the financial policies and procedures for all accounting areas that supported the company during its growth from 60 to 200+ people.

At CW Cook Co. Inc., a long time engineering and surveying firm in the Los Angeles area, Marksberry, as CFO and Controller, reorganized the company and implemented new policies and procedures while assisting with the company's sale at maximum value and assisted directly with the subsequent transition of the company to new owners, while overseeing the systems and operations prior to and during the transition.

Marksberry established and developed a Computer Advisory Services Group as the Director of Client Technology Services for McGowan Guntermann, CPAs and then for Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, CPAs. He also handled technology consulting and advisory services including accounting systems selection and implementation for Coopers & Lybrand clients in Los Angeles while earning his Certification in Information Systems Auditing (CISA).

Marksberry obtained his Bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University in 1980, was certified as a CPA in California in 1983, and is now active in various professional and technology related groups and associations in the Northern Virginia and Metropolitan Washington, DC area.
