Ridgeline Signs Development Agreement to Use Mobile Development Laboratory for Treatment of Produced and Flowback Water

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - Ridgeline Energy Services Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RLE) ("Ridgeline" or the "Company"), an environmental technology and consulting company focused on waste management in the oil and gas industry, reports that it has entered into a non-exclusive Development Agreement with an Alberta based energy service company to provide contracted services for the treatment of produced and flowback waste water from oil and gas operations in Alberta.

The Development Agreement will involve the use of the Company's newly approved Mobile Development Laboratory (MDL), and comprehensive site, waste water and material evaluation process. The MDL will allow the Company to assist customers to scientifically characterize a wide variety of water sources for treatment, reuse, and recycling, as well as enhanced hydrocarbon recovery. The Company's MDL's rigorous testing allows for customers and independent laboratories throughout North America to access a consistent platform, wherein water treatment capability and quality can be determined during real-time operations.

Ridgeline's Mobile Development Laboratory will be on display at the Wynn/Encore Convention Centre on March 25, 2011 during the CONEXPO Convention in Las Vegas.

During 2010, the Company sourced waste water and successfully reduced targeted contaminant levels in gas well fracturing and flowback water from operations in N.E. B.C., oil well fracturing flowback water from the Bakken formation, and oil sands tailing pond water from Fort McMurray. The testing has also successfully treated water containing high levels of dissolved H2S. More recently, the Company has sourced waste water specimens for bench treatment from several different clients. The waste water specimens currently undergoing testing originates from Western Canada and across the US.

On January 6th 2011 the company announced that it had entered into an agreement to install and operate a fully integrated water treatment facility for a major unconventional gas exploration and production company in the Horn River Basin, in N.E. British Columbia.

Interest in the Company's proprietary water treatment system has grown beyond the Western Canadian fracturing and produced water market. The Company has received expressions of interest from additional markets such as; fracturing and produced water in the USA and water treatment for the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) in the oil sands industry. It is expected that additional testing for these facilities will continue during the summer and fall of 2011.
