Riding Hood Motion Picture's Provocative New Film, "Transatlantic Coffee," Heats Up the Festival Circuit at Hollywood's Mann's Chinese Theaters

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 21, 2012) - "A Bombshell of an Ending that should be Experienced!" The new Drama, "Transatlantic Coffee," which was produced in New York City by first time writer/director Erik Peter Carlson, has become an astonishing hit with audiences and critics alike. The controversial film premiers in Hollywood on June 5th as part of the 15th Annual Dances With Films Festival.

Based on a true story, "Transatlantic Coffee" is a tale of boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl ... only the boy is a 41-year-old clown, the girl, a teenage stripper from London. Alex is battling bleak circumstances within his version of a hostile world. However, his outlook evolves with the emergence of the young, sharp and adventurous, Mandie. The oddball duo embrace each other for who they are, until Alex's secret trauma bubbles to the surface, leaving for a climax that should not be missed.

"It's an uncensored, gritty portrait about the behaviors of love. What happens behind people's closed doors interests me," Carlson explains.

Riding Hood Motion Pictures, which also manages a postproduction studio, Transatlantic Studios, recruited colleagues to make the fearless picture. "We slept in cars, we'd go days without eating a proper meal, but we did it because it needed to be made," says co-producer, Kevin Bar.

The critics have approved.

The film contains all New York talent, including the award-winning musician, Zee Avi, who performs her breathtaking single, "Is This The End."

When asked what's next, Carlson replies, "I just completed a script which we're developing. We plan to lockdown distribution for Transatlantic Coffee and then start the next project."

Dances With Films will be holding a Q & A with Carlson and the entire cast following the screening at The Chinese Theaters.
