BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwired - October 05, 2016) - RIFT.io, the provider of RIFT.ware, the first, only, and complete open-source network service virtualization (NSV) platform, will be demonstrating RIFT.ware's NFV MANO capabilities at SDN World Congress being held in The Hague next week. RIFT.io will show the integration of a variety of MANO on-boarded virtual network function (VNF) and virtual infrastructure manager (VIM) offerings from the industry's top providers such as Intel, Brocade, WindRiver, 6Wind, F5 and Metaswitch.
RIFT.ware is a model-driven, ETSI-compliant NFV MANO solution that simplifies onboarding and deployment of VNFs and the composition and management of complex network services. Many elements of RIFT.ware are also integral to the Open Source MANO (OSM) project, which delivered Release One of its code this week as scheduled. RIFT.io is a founding member of OSM and its significant contributions to this open-source project as well as its on-going commercial development of RIFT.ware exemplify the SDN World Congress stated mission of "advancing the carrier vision of NFV+SDN+MANO".

Carrier-Driven Solution Demos
RIFT.io is planning to showcase several real-world and commercially viable solution categories including:
Auto-scaling: RIFT.ware provides an auto-scaling framework ideal for VNFs that do not readily support scale-in/scale-out capabilities. This feature enables service providers to deploy services that dynamically create new capacity to meet highly variable demand among their mobile and other service subscriber bases. Specifically, RIFT.io will demonstrate auto-scaling integration with third-party VNFs such as Sprout (virtual IMS) and HAProxy (HTTP Load Balancer).
VNF Onboarding and Service Composition: RIFT.ware delivers a step-by-step roadmap for service providers, network application builders, and enterprises to virtualize, automate, and scale their VNFs to enable cloud-ready communications and services. This can being with a simple onboarding of unmodified VNFs and apps that can be evolved to add service velocity and innovation through service composition tools. At SDN World Congress, RIFT.io will demo these capabilities with solutions such as the Brocade vEPC, Intel EPA, and VNF Forwarding Graph (VNFFG) + OpenDaylight integration.
Service Provider Solutions: RIFT.io is also planning to demo two of the most popular service provider solutions that RIFT.ware enables specifically virtual CPE (vCPE) and VPN as-a-Service (VPNaaS) that will create new revenue streams and new end-user services for wired, wireless, and mobile operators. Using RIFT.ware in concert with RIFT.ready partner applications, these service providers can quickly onboard multiple-vendor virtual router, IMS, and WAN acceleration VNFs, chain functions together to create a service chain, and instantiate new network services such as vCPE and VPNaaS.
RIFT.io will showcase integration between RIFT.ware and the Brocade vCPE operating system to onboard Riverbed Steelhead WAN Optimization and Acceleration VNFs at simulated branch and remote office sites. For VPNaaS, RIFT.io will demonstrate integration with various VNFs from 6Wind, Brocade, F5, and Metaswitch that simulate how service providers can quickly and cost effectively deliver VPN connectivity for their enterprise and SMB customers without dedicated network appliances in points of presence or at the customer premises themselves.
To get a first-hand demo of any of these solutions, please visit Booth #110 at the SDN World Congress during expo hours. To schedule a meeting with RIFT.io experts at the show, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
