Right Hemisphere Wins Microsoft and Consensus Awards for Software Innovation, Performance, and Potential

Company Honored With 2006 Microsoft Global Export Potential Award and 2006 Consensus Software Award

FREMONT, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 22, 2006 -- On the heels of a milestone fiscal year, Right Hemisphere®, the leading provider of Product Graphics Management (PGM) software, today announced it was recently honored with two awards: a 2006 Microsoft Global Export Potential Award (MGEPA) and a Consensus Software Award (CSA). Both the Microsoft and Consensus awards applied similar base criteria of software innovation, performance, and potential, but were judged separately. The two annual Microsoft award winners are decided by a panel of Microsoft senior staff members. In addition to the base CSA criteria, the Microsoft awards reward dynamic management teams with technologies and or applications deemed most likely to succeed, and most aligned with Microsoft's development strategy.

"After a very strong fiscal 2006 performance, this is a terrific way for Right Hemisphere to start its new fiscal year," said Mark Thomas, founder and CTO of Right Hemisphere. "We are honored to be recognized by our software industry peers on the Microsoft and CSA judging panels. It is a tremendous validation of the pioneering work our engineers are doing to help global manufacturing enterprises automate and manage their product graphics."

In its seventh year, the Consensus Software Awards program is Australia's only independently judged awards for Australian and New Zealand developed software. Candidates were nominated for the awards, completed submission forms, and scrutinized by a panel of over 40 Australian industry professionals through two rounds of judging, one internet-based and one face-to-face. Winners were presented with their awards in Sydney, Australia on April 26 at a gala event and featured in an issue of International Developer Magazine.

According to the published CSA judges' citation, Right Hemisphere's PGM product suite was considered "world-class software as attested by its take-up by Adobe [Systems] as the engine for its interactive 3D graphics capabilities for the free and ubiquitous Adobe® Reader." The judges further cited Right Hemisphere's software as "meeting a significant business need" and scored it "extremely highly in all three categories of innovation, performance, and potential."

The CSA are endorsed by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), sponsored by Microsoft, and managed by Consensus Pty. Ltd. -- a private company dedicated to designing and managing independent recognition programs to industry and trade representative bodies. Consensus Pty. Ltd. facilitates the Microsoft Global Export Potential Award in conjunction with the CSA program.
