RightScale Forms a Business Alliance With Yahoo! Japan and IDC Frontier to Deliver Management and Automation to NOAH Cloud

RightScale Selected as Cloud Computing Management Provider for IDCF's NOAH Cloud

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 9, 2011) - RightScale® Inc., the leader in cloud computing management, today announced it was selected as the cloud computing management provider for IDC Frontier (IDCF), a subsidiary of Yahoo! Japan Corporation that provides data center solutions to the Japanese market with its NOAH Cloud Services. RightScale has concluded a joint development and joint marketing agreement with Yahoo! Japan and IDCF. Customers will be able to leverage RightScale Cloud Management to deploy and manage workloads on the NOAH cloud for faster cloud deployment and comprehensive automation. Early this year, RightScale established operations in Japan. This latest announcement is another milestone illustrating RightScale's continued commitment to the Japanese market.

NOAH customers will now have the benefit of RightScale's fully automated cloud management platform to easily deploy and manage their business-critical applications with complete control and transparency. With RightScale Cloud Management, customers have access to the RightScale MultiCloud Marketplace that includes pre-built cloud server templates, scripts, and architectures published by RightScale, Independent Software Vendors, and Systems Integrator partners. All of these pre-built configurations are fully customizable and provide a variety of solutions to get started, ranging from standard application stacks to database solutions. RightScale cloud management also provides NOAH customers with a single platform for management of their chosen public and private clouds through a 'single pane of glass.'

"This is a significant partnership for RightScale in many ways. First, we are honored to be working with Yahoo! Japan and IDC Frontier due to their depth and knowledge of the Japanese market. Second, our agreement to now sell the NOAH cloud to customers creates immense value for our current and future customers," said Michael Crandell, co-founder and CEO of RightScale.

"Through our relationship with RightScale, IDCF will now offer their customers increased management capabilities and automation with a global footprint," said Mr. Shinto, Representative Director of ICDF. "RightScale is a valuable partner and we look forward to working together to bring this high caliber of management solutions to our customers."

RightScale has been committed to the Japanese market since 2008 and established a wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary with offices in Tokyo in March 2011. Yahoo! Japan and IDCF is a key partner in RightScale Japan's growing partner ecosystem that already includes Hitachi Solutions, Ltd., SCSK Corporation, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

With this announcement, RightScale also becomes a reseller for the NOAH cloud to provide choice to customers for consolidated billing and support. The combination of the NOAH cloud with RightScale is a powerful solution for Japanese-based customers and global customers needing a Japanese public cloud resource with streamlined business terms.
