COLOGNE, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Aug. 10, 2015) -

Attention: Business & Financial Editors

The key figures for the first two quarters of 2015 (1 January to 30 June) have confirmed the success of the RIMOWA group in recent years. In the first six months of the year, RIMOWA generated preliminary group sales of around 167.1 million euros. This represents an increase in group sales of 33.3% compared to the previous year's result (consolidated revenue in the first half of 2014 totalled 125.4 million euros).

The preliminary group result for the first half of 2015 is 22.5 million euros. By comparison, the consolidated profit in the first half of 2014 was 17.8 million euros, which means this result has improved year-on-year by 26.4%.

With a new lookbook and accompanying campaign together with store openings in prime locations, including the world's largest RIMOWA store in Omotesandō, Tokyo, RIMOWA was able to consolidate its market share at the start of 2015, even strengthening its position. An additional line of business will support the RIMOWA group in the future - the company now builds and sells aircraft! This news was announced in July at the world's largest aircraft exhibition, the EAA in the United States.

The first half of the 2015 financial year was a brilliant success, and RIMOWA has an optimistic outlook for the next six months.
