Riney Wins Gold Lion in Cyber Category for AAA Work

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - June 20, 2008) - Publicis & Hal Riney announced today that its interactive work for AAA has been awarded a Gold Lion in the Cyber Category at the Cannes Lions international festival. One of only four Gold Lions awarded so far for interactive work from a U.S.-based agency, this international recognition validates Riney's heightened focus on interactive media.

Created for AAA of Northern California, www.AAATown.com provides an immersive experience that allows visitors to experience a minor crash and replay it from multiple angles. The site engages and entertains visitors while allowing them to interact with the AAA brand on their own terms -- something that hadn't been done before for brands in this category.

Well-known for its emergency road service, AAA needed the new campaign to draw attention to the other benefits of AAA Auto Insurance including discounts on food, travel and shopping. Riney brought this campaign to life online and allow users to explore AAA Town in an engaging way.
