BUFFALO, NY--(Marketwired - September 19, 2013) -
Ringside Beer, one of the beer industry's first highly drinkable craft lagers, stands out in a crowded field of new craft beers and today announced they have been awarded two Distinctive People's Choice Awards from the Buffalo Brew Fest. The small batch craft brewed premium lager delivers a nice balance of malted barley and a hop character, bringing all the flavors together. The two awards are the latest recognition for its distinctive flavor profile.
"A few years back we thought about brewing a domestic All American craft lager under 5% alcohol by volume, so people in that flavor profile could have a craft experience," said Ringside Beer Co-Founder, Andy Dale. "We liked the idea of a beer that matches well with food without the heaviness and high alcohol content of many craft beers. Ringside was designed specifically to match that profile, now commonly referred to in the industry as a session beer."
Ringside Beer aims for the craft curious consumer who might be afraid to make the leap, while giving them a complete brand, not just a label. The company founders believe that the Great American Lager should be included in the amazing surge of great craft beer.
"It's amazing to see the excitement and early growth of a beer with this particular profile," says Dino DiBella, executive chef of Coles and Blue Monk, popular locations for craft beer drinkers in Buffalo, New York."
"Many of our customers are looking for craft beers that match well with food and that they may easily consume more than one."
Ringside's flagship lager is currently distributed in five Western New York counties by Miller Coors house, Certo Brothers Distributing. The brand has shown tremendous growth in its first 12 months and is creating new craft beer fans in each market it enters.
"We are creating a new category by bringing craft quality to American Lagers and in the process creating a new group of craft beer lovers," says Russ Dale, Co-Founder.
Ringside Beer outsources its brewing to Mendocino Brewings' Olde Saratoga Brewing in Saratoga Springs, New York. The company keeps its national headquarters in Buffalo.
