The Ritz-Carlton Cake
In Ritz-Carlton pastry kitchens around the globe, there is now a dessert available that unites them all -- a signature Ritz-Carlton chocolate cake. Just in time for Easter, this cake was the mission of Corporate Chef Rainer Zinngrebe, who wished to create a beautiful and classic dessert that would make a great gift and carry the history of The Ritz-Carlton. In honor of the hotel's heritage, this cake has a rich, dark chocolate flavor with bursts of orange throughout, and is a perfect balance between sweet and savory with sharp citrus notes. The cake, which serves six to seven people, is now available at every Ritz-Carlton hotel throughout the world, and may be purchased for $45 in the Gift Shop of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, as well in The Lounge and through In-Room Dining as of today.
Due to a limited number of cakes made daily, it is recommended that guests call 72 hours in advance to order a cake. Please call (415) 773-6168.
