Riva Modeling Client Receives Award for Asset Management Excellence

City of Burlington Awarded With CNAM Tereo Award for Successful Asset Management Approach

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - May 14, 2015) - Riva Modeling Systems Inc. congratulates the City of Burlington on being the 2015 recipient of the CNAM (Canadian Network of Assets Managers) Tereo Asset Management Award.

The award, which recognizes asset management excellence through the use of tools, techniques or approaches, was received by Paul Rohoman, Infrastructure Technologist, on behalf of the City of Burlington for their work on the City's infrastructure funding deficit for roads, bridges, storm water systems and parks over the next 20 years. They were also commended for developing a strategy to keep the City's roads at an optimal level of service for the next 60 years.

"We are honoured to receive the Tereo award. The word tereo means to guard or care for. I believe this exemplifies our team's commitment to managing the City's capital assets for current and future generations," said Allan Magi, Executive Director, Corporate Strategic Initiatives, City of Burlington.

The City's implementation of the RivaDS® Decision Support software application has garnered industry attention. In 2014, the project received the Ontario Public Works Association IT Symposium Project of the Year Award. Paul Rohoman, who accepted the 2015 Tereo award on behalf of the project team, has also won the Institute of Asset Management's Next Generation award and Riva Modeling Systems' Luminary Award -- all for the successful implementation of the City of Burlington's corporate asset management system.

"Paul is a positive force, an innovator who transforms asset management theory into asset management practice," said Ian Woodbury, CEO of Riva Modeling Systems. "We have really enjoyed delivering the technology he and his team have used to bring world-class asset management to the City of Burlington."
