Riverside Health System and National Research Corporation Partner to Improve the Patient Experience

NEWPORT NEWS, VA--(Marketwired - November 03, 2015) - Riverside Health System and National Research Corporation announced a partnership to conduct the not-for-profit health system's patient experience measurement, online physician reviews, and provider coaching and improvement. These programs will offer feedback on how to enhance the overall patient care delivery. Riverside Lifelong Health, the system's long term care division, has already been utilizing National Research's My InnerView resident experience products and solutions for 10 years.

Riverside has been on a relentless journey to improve the organization's culture by adopting a "back to basics" focus that foster innovative, personalized care optimizing quality and safety and a supportive, healthy patient and family culture. Recent initiatives include implementing rounding procedures, unit-based safety huddles, and discharge phone calls. These initiatives help Riverside provide effective care coordination and seamless care transitions.

Nancy Littlefield, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Riverside, said the organization's decision to partner with National Research rested on two reasons:

In addition to measuring the patient experience, Riverside will also utilize Connect Experience, National Research's Provider Coaching and Improvement Tool, and the Reputation solution. Reputation will allow Riverside to use its patient satisfaction survey data to publish independently verified patient ratings and review on their websites and physician profile pages.

Riverside will begin fielding these programs beginning January 1.
