RK Motors Charlotte Opens State-of-the-Art Classic Car Showroom & Service Shop

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwire - Jul 26, 2011) - RK Motors Charlotte, one of the nation's premier restorers, re-sellers and builders of classic, muscle and high-performance cars, has opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art classic car service facility. Located at the company's 76,000-square-foot campus in Charlotte, N.C., the facility services all of its showroom vehicles, as well as collector cars for customers in the Charlotte area and around the country. The shop can handle everything from routine maintenance of vintage collectibles to the custom build of exotics.

"Few shops are capable of servicing vintage and performance cars today," stated Joseph Carroll, RK Motors Charlotte president and CEO. "Most can merely replace a part. They're lost trying to work on anything older than a 2000 model year car. Our expertise extends from the birth of the automobile to the latest models out of Europe. From running solid lifter cams on a '67 big block Corvette to aligning the front end of a '32 Ford, bumping the horsepower on a mid-engined Ford GT or setting the carbs on the V12 Ferrari 275 GTB, our team can handle it."

The expert team members in the RK Motors Charlotte shop combine the latest technology with old world craftsmanship. The Design/Build/Service department offers full mechanical service capabilities, interior design and installation, a paint shop and custom fabrication. Popular services include suspension upgrades, transmission conversions and updates, air conditioning installations, brake installs, engine tune and swaps, and general troubleshooting.

Car collectors can rest assured that their vehicles are in the hands of some of the best mechanics in the area, including the shop foreman, Daniel Mouroney, who is ASE certified and comes with more than 30 years in the industry. The professionals at RK Motors Charlotte's service shop also include Rick Gauthier and Jon Sipple, who are both ASE master technicians. Gauthier is GM certified and a level one performance elect specialist, while Sipple holds the title of Chrysler gold master technician.

"The specialists here at RK Motors Charlotte are comprised of enthusiasts who treat every car like it's their own," added Carroll. "Whether the car is going on our Showroom floor, or back to its owner's garage, our goal is to provide a high level of service from a team our customers can trust. We don't cut corners and that's our promise."

Every job is estimated ahead of time and customers enjoy continual communication about progress and actual accumulated costs versus projections. Local collector car owners are encouraged to contact the shop and schedule their car for an analysis of any service or repair needs today by logging onto or calling (704) 596-5211.

Part of the modern RK Motors Charlotte campus is a 40,000 square-foot showroom with more than 100 of the finest quality of muscle cars, hot rods, vintage classics, European exotics and resto-mods. The showroom is currently open to the public for free on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and by appointment Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
