Ro-Al Construction: Building Telecommunications for the Future, in African Business Review

NORWICH, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Apr 3, 2012) - Ro-Al Construction has established itself as one of the leading players for mobile telecommunications infrastructure construction and maintenance work. Undertaken work so far has included the construction of new GSM facilities, upgrading existing structures, mast foundation, air conditioning installations and security fencing, as well as power line routes, electrical distribution panels, facility management control systems and antenna support structures throughout South Africa. Essential to this recent growth has been the adoption of a more serious attitude towards the importance of technology, with updating IT systems within the company being a leading factor for recent investments.

"We have started moving towards a far more advanced system," says Willie Pretorius, Director of Operations, "starting with our Finance department which has a lot of input in our procurement process. Over the last two years we have worked with an IT consultant to develop a customised maintenance ROMS system (ROAL Operational Management System) for our organisational operations. This system takes care of the Call Centre facility, scheduling for our preventative maintenance visits to the various facilities, as well as managing our warehouses materials, tool issuing and stock control."
