Robeez Footwear Ltd. Makes Profit W100 Ranking of Canada's Top Women Entrepreneurs, Two Years Running; Robeez Jumps 42 Spots to Rank #27 for 2005

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2005) - Robeez Footwear Ltd., the leading manufacturer of soft-soled footwear for children age newborn to four years, is proud to announce its 27th place standing in the "7th annual PROFIT W100 ranking of Canada's Top Women Entrepreneurs" by PROFIT: Your Guide to Business Success.

In 2004 Robeez ranked 69th, making this year's leap to 27th place an extraordinary feat. The unprecedented growth of nearly doubling staff numbers year after year, has placed the focus on the Company's human resources strategy. Attracting and retaining talented employees has become one of the cornerstones of Robeez growth plan.

"Our employees and our culture are our most valuable assets," says Sandra Wilson, Founder and President. "As the company continues to grow, it is extremely important for us to recruit and retain talented people that fit our culture. We believe that it is the passion and commitment of our employees that makes Robeez such a success."

Robeez currently employs over 550 employees, maintaining all manufacturing, distribution and head office operations in Burnaby, BC. "Some of our HR practices - like the daily chicken dance exercise routine for production staff or the weekly 'Coffee with Sandra' sessions - may seem simple in concept, but they all contribute to the fabric of our corporate culture. Other HR strategies include fostering and developing employee skills and seeking to continually learn from our experiences," states Wilson.

"We see our growth as a learning opportunity," says Emelda Thompson, Human Resources Manager. "Collectively, as a company, we all benefit from it. Our growth attracts those who want to contribute and be part of a homegrown company that is focused on achieving global success. We nurture an environment where new ideas from all employees are encouraged, and much of our learning comes from embracing and implementing those ideas."

Wilson closes on a positive note stating, "I am extremely proud of all our employees and of this award. As a company, we are energized by the prospects for further growth."

"We are happy to welcome the 2005 PROFIT W100 winners to this distinguished group of peers," says Ian Portsmouth, editor. "Canada's Top Women Entrepreneurs are generating economic growth both at home and abroad."
