Hundreds of Events Across Canada Encourage Families to Learn Together

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - January 16, 2014) - On Sunday, January 26, ABC Life Literacy Canada celebrates Family Literacy Day at the Ontario Science Centre with an array of author events, performances and activities. This is the second year Family Literacy Day has been celebrated at the Ontario Science Centre. Kara Harun, host of TVOKids' afterschool block, The Space, will emcee the event. Authors include:

Bestselling children's author Robert Munsch is the Honorary Chair of Family Literacy Day, which is celebrated across Canada every January with events and activities in literacy and learning centres, community centres, schools, libraries, and homes. Since 1999, more than 1.5 million Canadians have participated in Family Literacy Day.
