Robert Perkins and Jeff Ballowe Join Transpera's Board of Directors

Former Presidents of Chiat/Day New York and Ziff-Davis Interactive Media Division, Respectively, Bring Media and Brand Leadership to Transpera

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - Transpera, the largest mobile video delivery and ad network in North America, today announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors, media industry veterans Robert Perkins and Jeff Ballowe. They join fellow board members Frank Barbieri, CEO and founder of Transpera, Jeffrey Bussgang, General Partner of Flybridge Capital Partners and Jeff Schrock, Investment Director for Intel Capital.

Robert Perkins is a key choice to serve on Transpera's Board of Directors, bringing a deep history and expertise in managing several global brands to the company. Perkins's distinguished career includes leadership roles such as Chief Marketing Officer of Pizza Hut, and Calvin Klein, where he was SVP, to name a few. Perkins formerly served as President of the Chiat/Day New York advertising agency, where he was responsible for managing media and growth for several leading brands. He has held senior marketing and communication positions with the US Chamber of Commerce and served as Finance Director of the Republican National Committee.

Perkins is currently President of Consensus Research Group, providing global strategic research and consulting for leading consumer brands as well as companies within the media and financial sectors.

During his time at Ziff-Davis, Ballowe also served as Publisher of PC MAGAZINE; EVP and Group Publisher of several magazines; managed ZD's large account network sales group; and led the launches of 5 magazines in the US and Europe, ZDNet on the Web, ZDTV (became TechTV), and the initial ZD/Softbank investment in Yahoo!. Ziff-Davis awarded Mr. Ballowe one of only two Lifetime Achievement Awards it had bestowed and was named one of FOLIO MAGAZINE's "40 To Watch" American publishing executives. He currently serves on the boards of Onvia and OnQueue Technologies and as an advisor to a variety of start-ups including Iconology, Anvato, and IncentAlign.
