SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 7, 2014) - The Independent Selection Panel of the Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards announced today eBay Inc.'s Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Robert Swan, was named as the recipient of the 2014 Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement Award. Swan, along with the finalists and winners in the six other CFO award categories, will be honored at the Ninth Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards event on June 5, 2014 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.
This annual sold-out awards dinner is attended by over 550 prominent Bay Area business executives. All proceeds benefit homeless and at-risk youth, ages 12-24, served by San Francisco's Larkin Street Youth Services, the leading nonprofit that provides housing, education, job assistance, medical and social services.
Swan, who joined eBay Inc. in 2006, is being recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award for a career that has included important financial leadership roles at eBay Inc., Electronic Data Systems and TRW, following a career start with General Electric. During his tenure at eBay Inc., Swan has been instrumental in helping lead the company from approximately $5 billion in revenue in 2005 to one that generated over $16 billion in annual revenue in 2013. Swan was recently honored as the 2013 CFO of the Year (Public Company, +$500 million category) from the Silicon Valley Business Journal. In 2012, Swan helped contribute to the company's #2 rank on Yahoo's list of top finance companies in 2012 "for proving that it is a balanced e-commerce and payments leader, enriching shareholders with prudent capital usage and pushing innovation in mobile commerce". He was also ranked #40 on ExecRank's "Top CFOs."

Finalists for the Bay Area CFO of the Year will be announced in April and the winners will be announced at the dinner and awards ceremony on June 5, 2014. Finalists and winners will be chosen by a blue ribbon independent Selection Panel comprised of business and academic leaders including: Alison Davis, Managing Partner, Fifth Era; Mary Huss, Publisher, San Francisco Business Times; Sharon McCollam, CFO, Best Buy and Lifetime Achievement Award 2012; Byron Pollitt, CFO, VISA, and winner Lifetime Achievement Award 2013; and Richard Rosenberg, retired CEO, Bank of America.
