Robex Appoints Vice-President of Mining for its Nampala Project

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 17, 2012) - Robex Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RBX)(FRANKFURT:RB4) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Régis Desbiens as vice-president of mining. Reporting to André Gagné, Robex president and CEO, Mr. Desbiens will be based in Mali where his primary role will be the supervision and management of the Nampala construction project on the Mininko deposit, effective February 4, 2012.

Mr. Desbiens counts 33 years of experience with a proven track record of relevant technical and strategic expertise at the international level. He has been involved in the development of underground and open pit mines, as well as the construction of treatment plants. Over the years, he has managed the construction of several mines for leading mining firms, including Agnico Eagle, Xstrata, Cambior, Semafo JM Asbestos, Lab Crysotile and Avion Gold Corporation. Mr. Desbiens earned much of his experience in Africa as project manager and construction director for Genivar in Burkina Faso and Mali.

Robex appoints corporate controller

Robex has also appointed Mr. Guillaume Émond as corporate controller. Mr. Émond has a bachelor of accounting degree and will report to Mr. Marc Boisjoli, vice-president of finance. He will be responsible for overseeing expenses and ensuring budgetary compliance for the Nampala project. Mr. Émond began his new role at the Quebec City Office on January 9.
