Robex - Drilling begins on N'Golopene

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire – Feb. 1, 2007) - Robex Resources Inc (TSX-V: RBX) is pleased to announce that the 3000 meter RC drilling program planned for the N'Golopene property was started on Monday, January 29, 2007.

The N'Golopene property covers an area of 115 km2. It is located in the southern part of Mali, approximately 300 km to the southeast of the capital Bamako. The property lies in the volcano- sedimentary Birimian formations. It borders the Syama gold deposit to both the North and to the East.

The Syama gold deposit, currently being put back into production by Resolute Mining, has over 6 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 3 g/t Au. A location map is presented on Robex' web site at

Robex completed a geochemical survey in mid-November 2006 over the entire N'Golopene property. A geophysical survey, covering almost half of the property, was carried out in December 2006. These two detailed surveys, combined with the structural analyses and the study of previous work, have identified two important targets.

The first target, located in the northwest part of the permit, follows the northern extension of the Syama deposit's horizon. The second target, located in the eastern part of the permit, follows the northeastern extension of the Syama deposit's horizon. A map of the geophysical survey is presented on Robex' web site at

For this first drilling program, Robex will concentrate its efforts on the target that appears to be the most promising of the two identified, which is the one located in the eastern part of the permit. Resolute Mining is currently carrying out a program that includes geophysical surveys and drilling in the Chert Ridge and the A21 zones, located less than two kilometers away from our first target.

This target is located in a network of fault zones stretching over a length of 8 kilometers to the NNE, over approximately two kilometers in width. The target is in the extension of the network of fault zones containing the Syama deposit as well as the Chert Ridge, the Alpha and the A21 showings.

The current drilling program will cover a vast zone. The holes will be drilled following the most promising NE-SW corridors. Each corridor will be tested with the drilling of 4 to 5 holes of 100 to 120m in length, which will allow Robex to begin outlining the potential of this very large target.
