Robex - RC drilling program on N'Golopene

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire – March 2, 2007) - Robex Resources Inc (TSX-V: RBX) announces it has completed a preliminary drilling program on its N'Golopene property in South-Mali. The property covers 115 km2 and is located in the volcano-sedimentary Birimian formations. It borders the Syama gold deposit to both the North and to the East. The Syama gold deposit, currently being put back into production by Resolute Mining, has over 6 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 3 g/t Au.

Summary of the program ---------------------------------
Twenty RC holes, of approximately 100 meters long, totaling in all 2201 meters, were drilled. The holes were oriented N110degrees with a -50degrees angle. Deviation tests were done at the end of each hole. The drilling program consisted of eight profiles of 2 to 3 holes each, sub-divided into 3 zones and spread over a distance of 7 km. The goal for this program was to test the oxide ore potential of a geological structure identified by a geophysical survey. Placement of the drilling zones was determined by anomalies identified by a ground geochemical survey carried out in November 2006. Note that the attitudes of the structures were unknown before drilling. No diamond drilling was undertaken during this program. This first drilling program on N'Golopene was purely exploratory. It has suggested that eventual gold mineralization along the entire 7km geophysical structure would be at a depth exceeding 100 meters. Interpretation of the RC drill holes remains to be done, and that the next drilling program, this time diamond drilling, should be undertaken to a greater depth, particularly because Syama's experience suggests that gold ore along the structure is at greater depth. The Syama Mine, currently an open pit, is exploited to a depth of approximately 285 meters. Resolute is considering developing an underground exploitation to get to mineralization below that level.
Sampling ------------
Samples from the RC drilling were collected at metric intervals. The samples were analyzed in 3-meter composite sections by the Abilab Laboratory, located in Bamako, Mali. The quality of the analysis was tested by adding blanks (sterile), standards, and by duplicating samples. The numbers for these samples were distributed at random. The 3-meter long composite samples contained 5% of blanks and 5 % of standards.
Results from the Southern Zone ------------------------------------------
Three profiles of 2 to 3 holes, totalling 7 holes, were carried out in the southern part of the property. The holes were spread between the UTM coordinates 1 204 400 N and 1 205 450 N and 825 400 E and 825 850 E. The profiles, oriented 110degrees were spaced between 400 and 600 meters apart. Drill holes were spaced approximately 80 metres apart within each profile. Lithologies were composed of sedimentary and volcanic rocks. The sediments are mostly composed of breccias. Sequences of greywacke, silt, shale, as well as turbidite intercalated sequences were intersected. Volcanic rocks, with metric thick tuf, associated with sedimentary breccias are reported. The best grade from the seven holes in the Southern Zone was 0.92 g/t Au in a 3-meter composite section.
Results from the Central Zone ---------------------------------------
Three profiles of 2 to 3 holes, totalling 8 holes, were carried out in the central part of the property. The holes were spread between the UTM coordinates 1 206 950 N and 1 207 800 N and 826 300 E and 826 800 E. The profiles, oriented 110degrees were spaced 400 meters apart. Here too, drill holes were also spaced approximately 80 metres apart. Lithologies are composed of sedimentary rocks. A cherty level was intersected in two holes. In five holes, graphitic faults were intersected. Their width seems to vary from less than 1 m to approximately 10 meters. A fault breccia was intersected. Sediments are composed of greywacke, silt, shale and of intercalated turbidite sequences. Some samples showed that greywacke fragments were lightly to moderately deformed. A local light to moderate schistosity was also intersected in this zone. Fine pyrite and more rarely arsenopyrite was observed in the more altered parts of the rock. The best grade from these holes in the Central zone was 0.32 g/t Au.
Results from the Northern Zone -----------------------------------------
Two profiles of 2 to 3 holes, totalling 5 holes, were carried out in the Northern part of the property. The holes were spread between the UTM coordinates UTM 1 210 060 N and 1 210 520 N and 827 300 E and 827 500 E. The profiles, oriented 110degrees were spaced at 400 meters. The drilling holes were spaced at approximately 80 meters. Lithologies were mostly composed of sedimentary rocks. A 4-meter level of felsic rocks was intersected in one drilling. A cherty sequence was also identified. Sediments are greywacke and silt. Intercalated turbidite sequences are reported. The best grade from these five holes in the Northern zone was 0.2 g/t Au. While results from the oxide zone were disappointing it is expected that results from our drilling at depth will be more consistent with Syama's grade at depth along the same geophysical structure.
