Rockcliff Resources Inc.: Drilling to Commence at the Shihan VMS Property

SUDBURY, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 8, 2007) - Rockcliff Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RCR) is pleased to announce that drilling will commence shortly on its 100% owned Shihan VMS Property located in central Ontario near the town of Missanabie. A minimum of 3,000 metres of drilling is planned to commence in January.

Drilling will initially focus on the Zinc Zone and its potential extensions. The Zinc Zone mineralization consists of stringers and massive sulphide lenses containing zinc, copper, lead, silver and gold. The Zinc Zone is exposed on surface for a distance of 30 metres and is up to 6 metres wide. It is open along strike and at depth. Assay results for due diligence grab samples collected by Rockcliff on the zone and the surrounding alteration envelope are tabulated below:

Additional drilling will test areas identified in a helicopter-borne AeroTEM II Electromagnetic and Magnetometer Survey completed for Rockcliff by Aeroquest Limited in July of 2006. Multiple, high priority, geophysical conductors were located throughout the 25 km long property. The untested conductors were identified as areas with VMS and/or gold potential.

Secured rock samples from the property were sent to Laboratoire Expert in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec for analytical work. Samples were analyzed for zinc, copper, lead and silver by total digestion followed by atomic absorption analysis. Gold concentrations were determined by fire assay with an ICP-MS finish. Laboratoire Expert fulfilled standard QA/QC protocols.

The drill program will be under the supervision of Peter Wood, P.Eng., P.Geo., VP Exploration of Rockcliff, a qualified person under the definition of National Instrument 43-101.
