Rockwell Scientific Company Opens Additional Facility

Signals Continued Expansion of Imaging Sensor Division

THOUSAND OAKS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 12, 2005 -- On May 6, Rockwell Scientific Company (RSC) celebrated the opening of a new building in Camarillo, California, occupying approximately 20,000 square feet to support their growing Imaging Sensors Division. The building is located in Mission Oaks Business Park, adjacent to RSC's 67,000 square foot facility, also part of the imaging sensor division. "We plan to fill the building very quickly, and devote a large portion of it to imaging sensor design and sales," said Kadri Vural, Vice President of the imaging sensor division.

RSC's imaging sensors are world renowned for their superb performance in astronomy, military and commercial applications. The division works on many high profile contracts including NASA's Origins Program to seek answers to fundamental questions about the origin of the universe. Last year the division was awarded a contract to design optimized infrared sensors for the James Webb Space Telescope, which will be launched in 2011 to replace the highly successful Hubble Space Telescope.

Derek Cheung, President and Chief Executive Officer of RSC, stated, "The additional facility will enable us to further grow the imaging sensor business and other unique electro-optical component businesses critically needed by our customers." A formal dedication ceremony for the new building will be held on June 1, 2005, with local legislators and business leaders attending.
