ROF Intersects 437.6m of 0.28% Ni at Kingsmill, Project 81

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2012) - Ring of Fire Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "ROF") (TSX VENTURE: ROF) (FRANKFURT: RG5) (PINKSHEETS: HWKPF) is pleased to announce preliminary assay results from the first drill hole (KML 12-01) drilled on the Kingsmill Nickel Anomaly, Project 81, Timmins Area, Northern Ontario, Canada. Drill Hole KML 12-01 was collared at an Azimuth of 30° and a dip of -45° for a total length of 584.0m that intersected Serpentinized Peridotite from 111.0m to 548.6m. Overburden thickness varied from 14.0m to 60.0m downhole and the entire section of the Serpentinized Peridotite was mineralized and had an overall grade of 0.28% Ni over 437.6m, with enriched sections (see table).

Drill Hole KML 12-01 was drilled within a large magnetic anomaly (see release of Feb 6, 2012 & Fig. 2) to confirm geology and mineralization from previously released historical drilling results. The company can confirm that the geology and mineralization has been duplicated in KML 12-01. Preliminary interpretation from this phase of drilling indicates that the western end of the mineralized Nickel body is approximately 400m wide and at least 400m deep and is steeply dipping to the south (see Fig.1).

Another three (3) drill holes have been drilled to test the western part of this anomaly and assays results are pending. A total of seven (7) holes have been planned to test this anomaly in 2 section lines over approximately 2.0 km strike length. The results will be released when the assays are received.

Nickel results released are preliminary Aqua Regia-ICP (1E3-ICP) analysis done by Activation Laboratories Inc. (Actlabs). Samples are prepared at Actlabs in Timmins (ISO 9001 accredited) and shipped to Thunder Bay or Ancaster (ISO 17025 accredited) for specific analysis.The company has also requested a 4-acid total digestion TD-ICP (1F2-ICP) analysis on all samples submitted, and a Code 8-AR wet chemistry assay quality analysis for Nickel on all samples greater than 0.25% Ni.

Project 81 is a 70,090 hectare patented land package divided into 2 blocks. The patents include surface, mineral and timber rights, and host a significant timber resource plus a number of zones that have historical exploration identifying nickel and gold mineralization (these sample results are historical and non 43-101 compliant) from work carried out in the 1960s and 1970s some of which have been previously announced.
