ROF Receives Final Heliborne Magnetic Geophysical Interpretation Over the Kingsmill Anomaly

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Feb 6, 2012) - Ring of Fire Resources Inc. (the "Company" or "ROF") (TSX VENTURE: ROF) (FRANKFURT: RG5) (PINKSHEETS: HWKPF) is pleased to announce that the company has received the final Heliborne magnetic geophysical interpretation results over the Kingsmill anomaly from its recently completed 6,439 line kilometres of Heliborne Mag, TEM, survey over this part of Project 81, in the Timmins area of Northern Ontario. The Heliborne survey outlined a very large and distinct magnetic anomaly that is in excess of 2.5 km strike length and approximately 400m wide (see attached map), part of which includes the previously known Kingsmill Nickel target. Only the western end of this anomaly was previously drill tested in the 1960s by Canico.

Drilling has commenced on the western part of the Kingsmill Nickel anomaly in the vicinity of the historical drilling, and the current suite of holes are designed to confirm the geology and mineralization of the previously released (see ROF news releases Dec. 1, 2011 & Dec. 5, 2011) historical 1960s drilling results reported by Canico, the then exploration arm of Inco (now Vale). Upon completion of this series of drilling the rig will be moved approximately 2.0 km to the east to drill the eastern part of the Kingsmill Nickel anomaly that to this point has never been drill tested and has a much larger aerial extent as interpreted from the airborne magnetic data and has the potential be more prospective.

Canico in the 1960s followed and drill tested in a number of places a mineralized Nickel horizon approximately 5.5km west from Drill Hole 27090. ROF also plans to drill test these anomalies going west of the present drilling in a subsequent drilling campaign.

About Project 81

Project 81 is a 70,090 hectare patented land package divided into 2 blocks. The patents include surface, mineral and timber rights, and host a significant timber resource plus a number of zones that have historical exploration identifying nickel and gold mineralization (these sample results are historical and non 43-101 compliant) from work carried out in the 1960s and 1970s some of which have been previously announced.
