TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - As Egypt continues to celebrate its bright new future, Your Journey travel presents respected Canadian Egyptologist Gayle Gibson in an Egypt Travel talk. The evening will focus on exciting new Egyptology discoveries, openings and travel tips for 2012. As well, Gibson will share her specialty – mummies and coffins – along with recent findings, new accessibility of middle Egypt (Amarna) and her own unique "Archaeology Alive Tour" ( slated for January 2012. This exciting free travel talk takes place March 16, 2011, 7-9pm at Allsteel in Liberty Village, Toronto.

Gibson's own personally led-tour "Archaeology Alive" ( set for January 21, 2012 will also be previewed. This special itinerary takes "Egyptophiles" from the excitement of Cairo, Giza and ancient Sakkara, down on the safe new route through the middle of the country to explore the unspoiled towns, lesser known pyramids and other astounding antiquities. The tour's centrepiece is a full day insider's view of Amarna, the Pharaoh Akhenaten's lost 18th dynasty kingdom, guided by renowned Amarna archaeologist, Professor Barry Kemp. Part of the tour price goes to fund his work through the Amarna project. The itinerary features exclusive encounters with history by day, and luxurious accommodations by night.

About Gayle Gibson: Gibson is a respected Canadian Egyptologist who works at the Royal Ontario Museum as a popular teacher, lecturer and Egypt specialist. She appears frequently on television as a "guest Egyptology expert". It was also Ms. Gibson who was among those responsible for correctly identifying Pharaoh Ramses I among the mysterious mummies at the old Niagara museum…and getting him on the road home to Luxor.
