Romarco Intercepts Visible Gold at Haile

SPARKS, NV--(Marketwire - April 29, 2008) - Romarco Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: R) (PINKSHEETS: RTRAF) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has intersected visible gold (DDH-301) at the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. This is the first time visible gold has been intersected in drill core at the property. The photographs for the visible gold can be found on the Company's website (www.romarco.com).

The company continues to drill large intercepts of high grade assay values. In its recent core hole (DDH-294), assays returned 36 meters of 4.6 g/t gold. This hole was drilled 73 meters WNW of DDH-289 and 51 meters north of DDH-290 in the Millzone resource area. This hole concludes the confirmation program for the Millzone area. Drill results are pending for the other resource areas and will be released when they are received. Exploration drilling is on-going with initial results anticipated within the next month.

DDH-294 was drilled on a 60 degree angle to the southeast, so this extensive intercept represents true thickness. Additional mineralized horizons are known to occur beneath Millzone in limited drilling. There is also good potential for additional mineralization along strike and down-dip in the same Millzone area.

The hole returned a composite 36.4 meter (119.5 feet) sequence grading 4.6 g/t gold. Gold mineralization of over 1.0 g/t was first intersected at 72.5 meters (238 feet) below surface and the mineralization was hosted in pyrite bearing, silicified, quartz-sericite phyllite. Within the gold mineralized interval, 6.5 g/t gold was returned over a 16.8 meter interval. See table below for details.

Currently, two core drill rigs are working on site. The current program is designed to identify additional resources, convert historic resources into proven and probable reserves, and provide representative samples for metallurgical test work as it relates to the bankable feasibility study.

Drilling services are being performed by the Eastern U.S. division of Boart Longyear. The PQ core samples are being assayed by Inspectorate Labs in Sparks, NV. The core was quartered and sampled with control samples inserted. The results of the control samples were all within acceptable ranges. Romarco's Sr. Geologist, Tom Kilbey, is the company's Qualified Person for Haile as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

Romarco Minerals Inc. is a gold development company focused on production in the US and Mexico.
