Ron Fisher joins Canadian Council of Chief Executives

Attention: Business/Financial Editor OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 21, 2005) - Thomas d'Aquino, chief executive and chairman of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE), announced today that Ron Fisher has become the council's newest member.

Fisher joins a select group of the country's top 150 CEOs whose members represent all major sectors of the Canadian economy. Together, they collectively administer close to $2.5 trillion in assets, have annual revenues of more than $600 billion, and are responsible for the vast majority of Canada's exports, investment, research and development, and training.

"I'm honoured to be invited to join such a key group of business executives," said Ron Fisher, president and CEO of Raytheon Canada. "I'm hopeful my military and corporate experience on two continents will allow me to contribute to the council's important initiatives and deliberations."

Fisher, a native of Scotland, holds a trio of roles within Raytheon Company. He jointly serves as president and CEO of Raytheon Canada and managing director of Raytheon Australia. He is also a vice-president of Raytheon International. As commonwealth executive, Fisher is committed to building on the natural affinity between the Canadian, Australian and U.S. commercial and military sectors, both in terms of personnel and equipment. "Common objectives, teaming opportunities and joint missions foster interoperability," said Fisher. "One of my goals is to promote a climate that encourages the sharing of best practices."
