Ron May Joins Capital Pacific Bancorp's Board of Directors

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - September 7, 2010) -  Ron May, a seasoned business leader with 38 years of commercial banking expertise, has been elected to serve on Capital Pacific Bancorp's (OTCBB: CPBO) Board of Directors.

"His extensive experience in leading community banks and his credentials as a business executive will be an enormous resource as we continue to grow the bank."

Now retired, May has nearly four decades of experience in banking. With deep roots in Oregon, his career included senior management positions with community banks and a large national commercial bank, as well as eight years of community banking in Stockton, Calif. May grew up in the Beaverton area and attended Oregon State University and Stanford University. After a three year tour in the U. S. Army, he returned to Beaverton with his wife, Janet, to raise two children.

Active in the community, May has served on the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Oregon State University Family Business Program Advisory Board, Northeast Community Development Corporation Board, First Interstate Development Corporation Board and the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where he served as President in 2002-03. He also chaired the Humphreys College Board of Trustees while in Stockton. May currently resides in Vancouver, Wash., where he serves on the Aviation Advisory Committee for Pearson Field.
