RONA Acquires Store From its Franchise Dealer in Chateauguay, Quebec

BOUCHERVILLE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 29, 2013) - RONA inc. (TSX:RON)(TSX:RON.PR.A), a distributor and retailer of hardware, home renovation and gardening products, announces that it is acquiring the RONA Le Régional de Châteauguay store on St-Jean-Baptiste Boulevard from one of its franchise dealers.

The 35,000-square-foot proximity store has a 32,000-square-foot lumberyard. It is designed to meet the needs of beginner and expert do-it-yourselfers, as well as contractors. Management will continue to employ 65 people, many of them specialists in their departments. The selection of over 24,000 products in stock, in addition to products offered on rona.ca, will continue to meet the needs of local customers.

In addition, with the expanded Highway 30, management expects that there will be further growth in the region in the years ahead.
