RONA Is Issuing a Voluntary Recall on UBERHAUS Shelters

BOUCHERVILLE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2011) - RONA inc. (TSX:RON)(TSX:RON.PR.A) the largest Canadian distributor and retailer of hardware, renovation and gardening products, is issuing a voluntary recall on UBERHAUS car shelters, winter shelters and vestibule shelters in all Réno-Dépôt stores in Quebec and RONA stores in Quebec, Ontario and Atlantic regions. The products were sold and marketed as of August 25^th 2011.

The process used by the manufacturer to assemble the fabric of the car shelter has been shown defective. This may cause tears in the fabric and could cause injuries or property damages. The code numbers of the products affected by the recall are:

Products sold at RONA: 4778003 / 4778002 / 47785001 / 47785007 / 47785008 / 47785009 / 47785010

Products sold at Réno-Dépôt: 340753 / 340754 / 357400 / 357413 / 364580 / 364581 / 364582

Customers who have these products in their possession should immediately stop using them and return them to Réno-Dépôt or RONA stores or call the customer service centre at 1-866-283-2239 toll-free for further information.
