Ronald Burr Named WebVisible Chief Operating Officer

Respected Internet Industry Early Pioneer to Lead WebVisible Operations

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - September 30, 2009) - WebVisible, Inc., a worldwide leader in local online advertising, announced today it has named Ronald Burr its chief operating officer. Co-founder of NetZero and a highly respected industry pioneer, Mr. Burr brings extensive executive level experience, a wealth of industry relationships and proven ability to grow technology companies to his new role. At WebVisible, he will oversee product development, engineering, IT, media and operations.

"Getting someone of Ron's caliber and background to help lead this company is incredibly exciting and speaks volumes to the quality of our technology platform and business model," said Kirsten Mangers, chief executive officer at WebVisible.

Burr has been focused on the local advertising market since founding NetZero and managing it through its early growth to a dominant position as one of the world's largest Internet Service Providers. "The initial revenue model for NetZero was focused on targeting ads to local audiences sold to local businesses," says Burr. "In 1998 there was simply not the audience scale required to make this happen so we moved to a national ad model, but today the Internet is the top consumer choice for local search and the local interactive market will be $147 billion by 2012. WebVisible has perfected a scalable model that allows local businesses to easily advertise online with quantifiable return-on-investment. And WebVisible has taken a neutral approach of partnering with existing resellers versus competing. I believe they have the best technology and the right strategy; that's why I'm getting involved."

With eight Internet technology patents in the areas of online advertising and market research, Burr has created technology solutions for many premier companies including IBM, Verizon Wireless and Sempra Energy. Interactive Week named him one of the "25 Top Unsung Heroes of the Net" and he is on Response Magazine's list of the "21 people leading us into 21st Century." Before joining WebVisible, Burr served as chief product officer for LRN, the leading application service provide for online education and solutions enabling clients to manage enterprise-wide governance, ethics and compliance processes.
