Roosters MGC Is Central Stage for Grooming, Music and Comedy

HOBOKEN, NJ--(Marketwired - Sep 12, 2013) - Customers and passer-bys of the newly opened Roosters Men's Grooming Center (MGC) at 610 Washington Street in Hoboken are discovering that the new store is humming with activities including singing by a barbershop quartet, actors filming comedy skits and local sports celebrities getting groomed.

"Being located in this beautiful historic district is a perfect setting for an old fashioned barbershop with modern amenities," said Jonathan Shafer, the store's owner. "Since we celebrated our grand opening, we've had a flurry of activity with lots of support from the entire community, including local businesses and officials."

Recently, actor Ryan Shibley requested permission to use the store as a backdrop for a comedy pilot being filmed. "We had lots of fun with it," said Shafer, who noted that the store has also attracted some of the area's professional football and hockey players who have stopped in for services.

The interior of Roosters MGC is specially designed to help customers kick back and relax in oversized leather barber chairs. The store's custom services include precision haircuts and shaves with hot steam towels, deep cleansing facial massages, moisturizing lotions and top-of-the-line hair and skin care products for men. 

Roosters MGC's store manager is Tiffany LaFera, who leads a team of experienced barbers and stylists with a focus on superior customer service. LaFera has worked in barber shops and salons as a full service barber and men's stylist, specializing in straight razor shaves and straight razor detailing among other services geared towards men. 

Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
