The Rose Bowl Game Presented by VIZIO Launches State of the Art Reservation System to Put Fans in the Seats They Value Most

"The Granddaddy of Them All®" Launches Ticket Reservation System to Give Fans Advanced Access to the Game

LAKE FOREST, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 5, 2012) - The Ticket Reserve, Inc., in partnership with the 99th Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO, today announced the opening of the game's third annual ticket reservation system on Through this partnership, the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO will harness a Forward Market proprietary software platform to give fans the ability to reserve the right to purchase a face-value ticket long before the qualifying teams are announced in December, ensuring them a place in the stands if their team makes it to the historic, gridiron face-off.

This will be the third time the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO has offered this unique ticketing option. As college teams across the nation gear up for the 2012 season, this platform will provide diehard fans with an exciting way to reserve highly sought after, face-value tickets for the 99th Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO, which will be played on January 1, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. (PST), following the annual Rose Parade presented by Honda. This year's forward market platform features an improved, user-friendly interface, refined navigation tools and enhanced social media connectivity.

The system is easy and straightforward: football fans from across the nation can go to the official Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO site to purchase a "TeamTix" reservation for the game for as little as $15. If their team receives a berth to the game, that fan can purchase a ticket at face value. If the fan's team is not selected, the reservation expires. Fans can also resell or trade their ticket reservation in the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO's hosted market exchange, where reservation prices rise and fall based on each team's on-field performance and demand for tickets. In addition, special team-specific Twitter hashtags will enable fans to closely follow their team's forward marketplace to buy, sell and trade in real time.

"Ensuring great fan experiences is at the heart of what we do, and we are thrilled to offer, again this year, this unparalleled opportunity for our fans," said Bill Flinn, Executive Director of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association. "We have found the forward market model to work exceptionally well in the past, not only in enabling us to provide the fan experience we strive for, but also in building excitement in the months leading up the game."

"It brings us great pride to work with such a tradition-rich event," states Tim Browne, President and CTO of The Ticket Reserve, Inc. "The Rose Bowl Game is truly committed to the fan experience and our Forward Market ticketing platform enables the organization to deliver on that commitment."

The Forward Market reservation platform is tested and proven -- several organizations including The Big Ten Network are licensees. The 2013 BCS National Championship Game's forward market is already active and fans are trading and buying tickets for the January 7, 2013 match-up at Next year's BCS Championship game will be hosted by the Rose Bowl Game, which will also celebrate its 100th Rose Bowl Game.
