Rose Noone Appointed Head of US A&R for PledgeMusic

Tracy Bonham Partners With PledgeMusic to Promote New Album

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  Former Warner Bros, Epic Records and Island Records A&R executive Rose Noone has been appointed Head of US A&R for international direct-to-fan platform PledgeMusic. Rose Noone's numerous career signings include several platinum and multi-platinum artists such as Macy Gray, Seasick Steve, The Enemy and Howie Day among others.

Malcolm Dunbar, Managing Director of PledgeMusic, said, "We are delighted to welcome Rose to the PledgeMusic team. We have plans to develop our US presence over the next 12 months and the experience and track record of success that Rose brings with her will add real value to our operations there."

Rose Noone said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to apply my skills in an exciting and fast evolving environment. I have been extremely impressed with how quickly PledgeMusic have established themselves at the forefront of the direct-to-fan sector and look forward to working with them to further develop the company's offering in the US."

Rose Noone has also announced her first artist acquisition for PledgeMusic -- Grammy nominated artist Tracy Bonham launches a pledge campaign this week to raise funds to further promote Masts of Manhattan, her latest album, which received a low-key, independent release earlier this summer on New York City based indie label Engine Room Recordings in the US and on Lojinx Records in the UK.

This will be the second time that Rose Noone has worked with Tracy Bonham having signed her originally to Island Records US in the mid-nineties. Her acclaimed major label debut The Burdens of Being Upright went gold in the US spawning the hit single "Mother Mother," and leading to a pair of Grammy nominations.

Tracy Bonham's PledgeMusic campaign makes available a number of exciting premium incentives to her fans including personalized "singing telegram" phone calls, acoustic living room concerts, handwritten lyric sheets and other unique items and experiences.

The campaign is also utilizing the innovative new PledgeWidget, which can be added to numerous websites and social networking platforms and allows fans to download a free Tracy Bonham song in exchange for signing up to her digital mailing list.

In addition, a percentage of all money raised during the campaign will be donated to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.
