Rossi Casts Ballot, Warns Against Strategic Voting

Mayoral candidate casts ballot with supporters, family

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 8, 2010) - Surrounded by friends and family, Rocco Rossi and a throng of supporters cast their ballots in advance polls at City Hall this morning.

Rossi also took aim at suggestions that Torontonians should "vote strategically" rather than voting for their first choice.

"If you hold your nose on Election Day, you'll have to hold your nose for four more years," said Rossi. "Don't vote against someone, vote for something. Vote for the candidate you believe in and who, in your heart, you know can trust to bring real change to City Hall."

Rossi's campaign has seen a ground-swell of grassroots support over the past ten days with polls showing that over 60% of Torontonians are dissatisfied with the two frontrunners.

"Torontonians aren't happy with my opponents in this race," said Rossi. "They don't want to hold their nose and vote for someone they don't trust.

"I want Torontonians to know that I am in this race to win it and I will be there working to earn their trust on October 25th."
