Rossi Delivers Line of the Night

Toronto Mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi delivers line of the night at the Arts Vote debate held at the AGO.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 29, 2010) -

Rocco Rossi delivered the undisputed line of the night in response to rival Rob Ford: "It is really better to let him talk." Mr. Ford's appalling lack of knowledge on the arts was made clear this evening. When questioned on his arts policy, Mr. Ford said he would not support funding of arts programmes. Mr. Ford received multiple "boo's" from the packed crowd.

While George Smitherman and Joe Pantalone engaged in nasty banter with each other, Mr. Rossi focused on his promise for a 39-per-cent increase in per capita funding and commitment to match what other major North American cities invest in the arts. Mr. Rossi understands that funding the arts ensures a vibrant city and drives our economy.

"We have to deliver results for Torontonians," remarked Rossi and "we cannot afford Ford's experience at City Hall." Rocco Rossi has led a career of constant success in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He will bring this record of success to City Hall.
