Roxette is back with its new album, Travelling, due out in Canada on June 12; while Glass Tiger releases Thin Red Line anniversary edition that same day

Both bands to release Canadian Tour edition hits packages on July 17

Three years after their 2009 comeback, Swedish pop phenomenon Roxette are hotter than they've been since their early '90s heyday. Roxette's world tour is in full swing with almost one million concert tickets sold since it kicked off a year ago at the Tatneft Arena in Kazan, Russia. On top of that, another one million Roxette records have been added to the already dizzying 70 million they have sold over the years.

Roxette has also just announced its first Canadian tour in more than 20 years, kicking off at Scotiabank Place on Aug. 29. Tickets for the Ottawa show are on sale Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m.

So far, the band has played more than 85 shows in more than 30 countries (and the trip continues - they do not plan to rest until they have played 150 shows). But besides zigzagging between airports, arenas, hotels and meeting with fans from all over the world, the band also has found time to record its new album, Travelling, which will be released on June 12.

The idea has been to tap into all the positive energy that has boosted the band during this dazzling trip, and channel it into new Roxette music. In short, an album that, just like 1992's Tourism, captures the feeling of a band on a roll - constantly on the move, snatching inspiration as they go; recording in hotel rooms, studios, at sound checks and in concert.

The result is a fascinating musical postcard with 15 superb songs, most of which are new, some that are revisited classics and others being pearls that, for various reasons, haven't previously seen the light of day. A tight and inspired band has gathered around a batch of Gessle tunes, where the relentless hit-maker again and again proves his sense of melody and ability to surprise is still top notch.

It's Possible is the first taste from Travelling - two minutes and 34 seconds of sunny pop music that shows off one of Roxette's many sides in 2012. There's more to come.

With more than a million records sold, five JUNO Award wins, a Grammy nomination and 13 hit singles (including Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone), Someday, I Will Be There, My Song and Diamond Sun), Glass Tiger has been one of Canada's most popular and enduring bands for three decades. Throughout its career, the band has recorded with many of music's finest artists, including Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Dalbello and The Chieftains.

Fans can look forward to a special new two CD anniversary edition of the band's debut album Thin Red Line to be released on June 12, which includes 12 mixes, radio edits, B-sides and rarities. Then on July 17, Glass Tiger will release a new hits package featuring all of their biggest singles, plus some brand new tracks. A new Glass Tiger single will hit the radio airwaves at the end of June. The band has never sounded better live, and its members look forward to entertaining their many fans across Canada while on this tour with Roxette.
