Royal Host REIT Announces Distribution of $0.055 to Unitholders and Change of Distribution Dates

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 14, 2007) - Royal Host Real Estate Investment Trust ("Royal Host") (TSX:RYL.UN) (TSX:RYL.DB.A) (TSX:RYL.DB.B) (TSX:RYL.DB.C) (TSX:RYL.DB.D) has declared a distribution of $0.055 per unit, payable January 15, 2008, to Unitholders of record on December 31, 2007. This distribution is the 122nd consecutive monthly distribution to Unitholders and brings the total funds distributed by Royal Host to $7.03 per unit since inception.

Commencing with this distribution, distributions will be declared on or about the 15th of the month to Unitholders of record at the end of the month and will be payable on or about the 15th day of the following month. The change will result in a reduction in the time between the declaration and payment of distributions.

As part of the reorganization previously approved by Unitholders and described in Royal Host's Management Information Circular dated April 13, 2007 (the "Management Information Circular"), the distribution as described under "Proposed Reorganization - The Reorganization" paragraphs (vi)(A) and (vi)(B) of the Management Information Circular is included in the distribution referred to above.
