RPT Uranium Commences Diamond Drilling at Richards Lake, Saskatchewan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 14, 2007) - Dr. Hikmet Akin, President of RPT Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:RPT) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling has commenced on the company's Richards Lake uranium property in the northern part of the Athabasca basin of northern Saskatchewan.

Drill hole RL07-01 was collared on November 8th. It is a vertical drill hole, targeted on one of a group of conductors defined by Megatem® and VTEM® airborne surveys. Surface work in 2006 defined rock geochemical anomalies and illite and kaolinite clay alteration haloes around the geophysical anomalies.

The conductors on the Richards Lake property lie along an east-northeast trend that is on strike with conductors in exposed basement rocks on the north side of Lake Athabasca, which were explored for base metals in the 1960s, and were found to be caused by graphitic metasediments and/or sulphide zones.

An initial three diamond drill holes are planned at Richards Lake; additional drilling will take place once depths to basement are determined and the conductors have been located. The target of the program is uranium mineralization at or below the unconformity where Athabasca sandstone rests on basement rocks.
