RTI Sponsors the U.S. Interoperable Open Architecture 2013

CEO Stan Schneider to Also Present on How Technology Can Support Better Buying Power

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 4, 2013) - Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the real-time infrastructure software company, today announced its sponsorship of Interoperable Open Architecture (IOA) 2013, the industry's leading defense procurement event held on September 10-11, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

Focused on procurement officials and business and technology strategists, IOA 2013 will provide insight from industry thought leaders on the future direction of defense procurement. This event will provide a unique learning and training experience to help teach procurement and acquisition offices how to save money and jobs in a climate of severe budget reductions. Organizations will learn how open architectures can dramatically improve system and system-of-systems' interoperability and platform flexibility, while reducing the time and cost of procurement.

When interoperability is adopted as a strategy, it can result in a significant competitive advantage. Much of what RTI is doing from a product and business perspective is designed to help customers achieve interoperability. RTI technology and expertise have played key roles in many mission-critical aerospace and defense systems and have been adopted by top defense and procurement organizations, including the:

  • U.S. Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Control Segment (UCS)
  • U.S. Navy's Open Architecture Computing Environment (OACE) and FORCEnet
  • U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS)
  • Joint Air Force, Navy and DISA Net-Centric Enterprise Solutions for Interoperability (NESI)
  • Transport Services Segment of the FACE™ Reference Architecture

In addition to exhibiting, RTI participation at IOA 2013 includes a conference presentation by Stan Schneider, CEO of RTI. In this session, attendees will gain an understanding of how technology can support better buying power that ensures delivery of IOA benefits to the procurer.
