RTI to Introduce and Host Public Quick Start Training

Students, Engineers and Other Community Members Invited to Attend 3-Day DDS-Training Session at RTI Headquarters


SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - May 17, 2016) - Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity platform company, today announced it is opening its 3-day "Quick Start Training" course to the public on May 24-26 at RTI's headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif.

The Quick Start is a 3-day onsite training event that will teach teams how to productively apply RTI Connext® DDS software and related tools to make IIoT projects more successful. Along with lectures, the Quick Start training will include hands-on exercises to reinforce concepts and provide practical tips for using basic constructs and middleware components.

The training will begin with an overview of Connext DDS and a discussion on semantics and terminology associated with the anonymous publish/subscribe communication pattern. It will continue with how to use Quality of Service (QoS) and IDL to define the behavior and data constructs for a system. Finally, it will provide detailed descriptions and demonstrations of Connext DDS capabilities, features, and tools. Attendees will have several opportunities to apply principles through hands-on exercises.

The cost for the 3-day course is $1,995 per attendee and for the hands-on portion of this course attendees will need to provide a laptop. This course is limited to 15 attendees and offered on a first-come, first serve basis.
