RTI to Showcase Open Architecture Messaging Software at Dubai Airshow 2013

EMEA Technical Manager to Present on Achieving Open Architecture in Avionics During INCOSE Avionics Forum for Industry Leaders

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 13, 2013) -  Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the real-time infrastructure software company, today announced its participation at the Dubai Airshow 2013, the leading aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing airshow in the world, held November 17-21, 2013 in Dubai, U.A.E.

During the event, RTI will provide live demonstrations of its Connext™ Data Distribution Service (DDS) software. Connext DDS is widely used to develop and integrate Open Architecture autonomous systems, including those based on the Unmanned Control Segment (UCS) architecture and Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE). The demonstration includes a small-footprint DDS implementation for resource-constrained devices and applications that require certification to stringent safety standards such as DO-178C level A.

RTI EMEA Technical Manager, Bettina Swynnerton, Ph.D., will also be presenting during the First International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Avionics Forum, an all-day avionics engineering event for industry leaders, on November 19, 2013. In her talk, titled "Achieving Open Architecture in Avionics," Swynnerton will discuss examples from FACE, a safety critical software infrastructure for reusable software, and UCS, architecture for reconfigurable ground control stations. Attendees will learn how FACE and UCS are redefining the way in which avionics and airborne systems of the future will be built. The presentation will also focus on data and how to develop a software infrastructure that delivers the right data to the right place at the right time.

"As electronic systems in airborne platforms become more advanced and modularized, the data processed by these systems continues to grow exponentially," stated Nauman Arshad, MENA ambassador for INCOSE, founder of Xellerix, and CEO of Rockford-Xellerix. "We are pleased to have RTI present at the INCOSE Avionics forum to provide insights on real-time communication infrastructure and software architecture."
