Rubicon Advances Construction Management Leadership With New Hire

Alan J. Belohlavek Brings More Than 20 Years of Project Management Experience to Seasoned Team

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - Aug 16, 2012) - Rubicon Professional Services today announced a key new hire -- aimed at solidifying the company's position as a leading provider of full-service construction management, energy management, consulting and engineering for mission-critical facilities. As the newest member of the Rubicon team, Alan J. Belohlavek brings more than 20 years of project management experience, including a track-record of mission-critical projects involving data and operational center reconstructions.

Belohlavek comes to Rubicon from Himes Associates, Ltd. where he served as a senior project manager for the company's mission-critical group. For the last 15 years, Belohlavek has driven a broad range of IT construction projects, including data centers, disaster recovery facilities, and call centers.

"Rubicon is focused on providing an innovative alternative for clients to upgrade and build their core business facilities. From feasibility studies and site selection; through planning, equipment integration, construction and commissioning -- our customer base is serviced by the most experienced professionals in the industry," said Bill Pirrone, President, Rubicon Professional Services. "With his broad range of industry experience, Alan is a perfect fit for our team, and will add significant value to our growing customer base."

Previously, while at Newground/The Facility Group, Belohlavek directed architecture, and mission-critical programming. Prior to this, he worked at both McClier AECOM in Chicago and the Southern California Gas Company in Los Angeles -- managing multiple "dot-com" projects -- providing programming, schematic design and development of disaster recovery facilities, and was the representative for projects ranging from commercial offices to hospitals and schools.

Additionally, Belohlavek was directly responsible for the success of a series of business projects, including: Qualcomm (San Diego, CA), Decatur Memorial Hospital (Decatur, IL), Northern Trust (Chicago, IL), and the Valencia Business Park (Valencia, CA). He holds numerous architecture awards and graduated from Southern Illinois University.

"Rubicon's name is well known within the data center and mission-critical facility construction field," Belohlavek said. "I am proud to join a team with such a pedigree and look forward to contributing to the company's already outstanding services."
