Ruby Creek Retains Mining Engineering Firm

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2011) - Ruby Creek Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: RBYC), a gold exploration and mining company with operations in Tanzania, has retained JCD Projects, a South African based mining engineering firm. JCD was founded and is led by Managing Director Johan Coetzee. They have designed, developed and worked all aspects of modern mines and equipment ranging from startup operations and expansions through to major production.

Ruby Creek first met with JCD Projects in Johannesburg in July to evaluate their mining design and development capabilities. In August Mr. Coetzee completed an onsite visit at the Gold Plateau Project where he Impressed Ruby's management with his level of knowledge and professionalism. JCD is assisting Ruby Creek in the optimization of the processing efforts soon to commence on the Gold Standard Mining License. Using all of the available equipment including the recently announced equipment purchased from the Songea region and other locations in Tanzania and several pieces from South Africa, JCD anticipates that our planned capacity of 75 tons/hour can be increased to 200 tons/hour by year-end.

Once the present processing capacity is increased, JCD Projects will begin designing a mobile processing plant with a 300 ton/hour capacity. Ruby Creek and JCD then foresee a large stationary plant being designed and developed capable of handling 1000 tons/hour after the completion and production commissioning of the mobile plant. The timeline and costs for both processing plants will be disclosed as milestones are achieved.

Mr. Coetzee said, "I am very enthusiastic to work with Ruby Creek. The Gold Plateau Project is unique in terms of its widespread area of gold showings, which lends itself to multi-year processing and production of high volumes of material at multi-locations."

Ruby Creek's Toby Hansen, Director of Corporate Communications and Process Engineer, said, "We met with Johan of JCD Projects last month at the Gold Plateau Project. I was very impressed with Johan's intimate knowledge of mining and his approach to tackling all aspects of the gold recovery process from optimization of ore transport through to final concentration. JCD's approach to recovering the fine gold at the Gold Plateau using industry standard techniques and equipment illustrates their vast experience and engineering professionalism. I expect they will be an instrumental part of Ruby Creek's gold production plan going forward in designing and developing and operating ever-increasing production systems capacity."
